Malay Weekend – South Bank SE1

Of all the countries within the Asian continent, Malaysia is often the one that people do not really know much about. So the weekend of 3rd to the 4th of May was a chance for everyone in Britain to come down to the South Bank in London, and learn a little bit more about the country of Malaysia, which has flourished a lot in terms of tourism in the past few years.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the Malaysia Kitchen Spring Market. Twelve Malaysian restaurants that are popular from all over the United Kingdom came together to showcase some of their best and favorite dishes, from Beef Rendang to Chicken Satay to Laksa. If those names don’t ring a bell, then you need to start exploring the tasty world of Malaysian cooking and cuisine!

There was also a produce market, which meant that everyone that attended this great event could try out some tasty food from around Malaysia, and then purchase all of the ingredients that they would need to recreate it in their own kitchens. That was a great idea indeed and worked very well with many guests attending the event. Volunteers were always around to answer any questions that members of the public may have about the rich and exotic culture of Malaysia, whilst tucking in to the most delicious food.

The guests can enjoy the Malaysian culture by attending demonstrations, exhibitions and displayed of traditionally made items of Malaysia. All the visitors attending the event had the opportunity to purchase the items that they like. The batik fabric is very beautiful and its a custom to use it in traditional Malaysian dresses. There are demonstrations conducted to show visitors how the unique dress is created.

Investors who want to invest in artwork can visit the stall showcasing the paintings and artistic sculptures of traditional Malaysia.

Who can fail to love the smell of gorgeous food whilst wandering around the beautiful city of London? Very few people would and which is why the Malay Weekend was so popular. But another reason why it could have been so popular was the beautiful and elegant gazebos that we at Catering Hire London provided to the organizers of the festival through which they could make the event successful and memorable for everyone who attended it. Almost thirty gazebos were needed to make sure that everyone who wanted to be covered could be covered successfully, and the service that we at Catering Hire London offered was very impressive. Our team and all the experts amongst us always went the extra mile to make sure that everything was as good as it could possibly be and everyone attending the event could remember it for a long time.
